How has Jesus Changed Your Life?

I grew up in a church and always believed in God.  I was involved in youth group and knew about my faith, but as I got older, I began to slip away from God.  I became addicted to drugs, and over time, I made choices that completely changed my life.  I was lying, stealing, and hurting the people I loved.  Eventually, I reached a point where even my own family wanted nothing to do with me.  One day, I finally hit rock bottom and realized that the way I was living wasn’t working anymore.  I knew I needed to change, so I went to rehab.  While I was there, I found my way back to God.  He met me in one of my darkest moments of my life and gave me a reason to keep going.  Because of God I am now free from addiction.  He helped me rebuild my life and restore my relationships with my family.  I have my family back and I have a life today that I thought I never could have.  I know that I wouldn’t have anything I have today without Him.

God has always shown me that He is there for me through both the good times and the bad. There have been times in my life when I had lessons to learn, and although I may not have understood them at the time, those experiences helped shape me into the person I am today. Through it all, I have learned to appreciate God more, trust Him, and recognize His presence in my life. I am getting baptized because I have chosen to fully accept Christ into my life and continue growing in my relationship with Him. I know I am not perfect and will continue to learn along the way, but I want God to guide my steps and help me become the person He has called me to be. My baptism is my way of publicly declaring my faith, my gratitude, and my commitment to walk with Him.

Jesus is special to me because I know He loves me and is always there for me. I like to pray to God when I am happy, when I am scared, or when I need help. I am thankful to God for my family and all the good things He has given me. I want to be baptized because I love Jesus and I want to follow Him. I want to keep learning about God and try my best to make good choices and be kind to others. I am happy and excited to be baptized and show that Jesus is in my heart.

Because of him there's been a shift in my existence I use to struggle with the act of addiction now I don't use to be incarcerated but now I'm free use to be Mentally unstable but now I'm Mentally stable the Most meaningful thing that ever happened to me is when God took this broken Man and pieced me back together the way I'm supposed to be and now I'm on the other side of everything that I once was.

The reason I want to get baptized now more than ever is because I'm fully all in to being a follower of Christ. It's not just a status or something I'll say because that's how I was raised, no it's more than that now than ever and it's deeper than ever. God has saved me and changed my life around plenty of times more than I can count because there are unseen ways he's protected me too. To finally get the chance to be baptized is truly a blessing to me because now my rebirth will be finalized. I thank God every day for the family I have and the one he gave me to create.

The reason I want to get baptized is because I was baptized as a newborn under a Catholic household. But now that I am older and have become the closest I have been under God, and I want to consciously and whole heartedly surrender my life to Jesus Christ. I was an alcoholic, I only cared for myself, and I never ever saw myself marrying or having kids. But fast forward just a year and my wife and I are with child and I have changed so much because everything I have is provided to me by God. And I just want to make Him proud of us by raising a family that worships and loves Him more than anything.

My walk with Christ began as normal is going to church every Sunday with my family. I enjoyed the snacks the games I'm going to the kids win too, but to me it was just a time to hang out and talk with friends that was until I started doing Bible quizzing . Bible quizzing really helped me to understand and dive in depth into the word of God. It really helped me to see the power of scripture through all of the years and all of the scriptures that we have read. I did not know why God put me in a place where I was studying scripture constantly until a night came where I was unexplainably scared and restless. I don't know what I was afraid of, but I was scared senseless I couldn't move and I was so scared that I held my breath. This happened continuously night after night after night for so long. I now know some people call this speaking from the other side, others the devil creeping at your door or otherwise also known as a spiritual attack. The devil was giving me unexplainable fear where I could not even sleep at night because I was so afraid.  Night after night, I would cry and fear because I was so afraid, I got to the point where I slept with my lights on, and I still do out of habit at this point because it happened so often. The night when it was the worst, I felt this urge so I look  over to the corner of my room and there was my Bible. It wasn't like this magical golden moment. Because I was scared out of my little mind and so I sat there for about five minutes, deciding if I should get up or if I should stay here under my covers. And before I could even think too much longer I got up, hopped over, grabbed my Bible and hopped back. And I did what any logical kid would do, I stared at it for another five minutes. Then I opened it. I started looking through my Bible and the Lord brought me to psalms 61 one through four. And I started praying that and it brought me to tears, and I got to the point where I would sleep with my Bible like it was a teddy bear every single night. Fast forward a couple of months and we get to teencamp . The worship was something that I've never ever experienced in my life.  I then had the biggest spiritual attack During a revival. But God protected me. I got up on a chair and I looked over and saw all the people worshiping and it was a breakthrough.  This year at team camp I started getting a little bit more bold In what I was praying.  My first prayer that I prayed every time I worshipped at camp was Dear Lord, Please descend upon us. And every Time I pray that prayer Revival happened. And so I prayed a bolder prayer Dear Lord, please bring everyone in this room to their knees and I turned around and it had happened.i started praying for people and they started dropping like flies. This experience is why I want to dive deeper in relationship with Christ and why I am being baptized today.

I grew up in church and went to youth group, so I knew about God, but I didn’t truly have a personal relationship with Him.  I have struggled with addiction for most of my life, and through all of it, my mom never stopped praying for me. There were many times when she told me she didn’t know how to help me anymore, so she was putting me in God’s hands. Looking back, that was one of the best things she could have done.  Eventually, I finally woke up and realized that God was the One I wanted to follow. He has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. He has taught me how to forgive, how to truly love others, and how to love myself.  I know I still have things to learn and grow in, but I know I don’t have to walk through life alone anymore. I want to follow Christ and continue building a real relationship with Him.  I am getting baptized because I want to publicly recommit my life to Christ and show others that I have chosen to follow Him. I want my life to be a testimony of what God can do when we surrender our lives to Him. I’m thankful for His grace, His forgiveness, and for never giving up on me.

I asked Jesus in my heart at ninja warrior camp. I feel calmer in my body. I learn alot about heaven and Jesus at church and from mom. I want to go to heaven . I want Jesus with my always . I want to hear His voice.

Jesus has changed my life by witnessing Him transform my familys' lives and our relationships in ways I never could have imagined.  Feeling so inspired by His work in their lives made me realize that at some point over the last decade, my pre-existing faith hit a wall. It simply wasn't sufficient anymore. Trying my usual work arounds and of this world coping mechanisms was not going to cut it. I truly believe inviting the Holy Spirit into my life a few years ago gave me the sight to see there is only one way to live the rest of my life on this side of heaven.   Reflection has brought me to a phase in my walk with Jesus where the only path forward is absolute trust and surrender to His plan for my life.   I'm getting baptized to mark the occasion that I fully trust and surrender my life to serving God's plan for it. My infant baptism was a wonderful thing but marking my name down in His book requires full dedication that only a baptism of my choosing can mark. Sharing this occasion with my family and the church community who were both instrumental in this decision makes it all the more special. "Put your hands up, if you've had enough, and you're ready to let go and let God."

Christ has always been present in my life, but right now I feel lost and disconnected, and I’m struggling to feel the hope or peace I want. Even though I don’t feel close to God at this moment, I’m choosing to believe that He hasn’t given up on me. I’m getting baptized because I want to take a step toward Him, trusting that He can meet me in the place where I am, not where I wish I were. I’m hoping that through this commitment, my relationship with God will grow and help me find strength, clarity, and healing. This baptism is my way of saying that even in my confusion and pain, I’m reaching for Him and believing He can guide me forward.

I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and I know that He died on the cross for our sins. Christ has been there for me through some of the hardest and lowest points in my life. He brought me through those difficult times and helped me get to a much better place in my life today. My experiences have made my faith stronger and have made me want to become a better person and live my life according to His will. I am getting baptized because I love Jesus Christ and want to publicly declare my faith and commitment to Him. I am thankful for how far He has brought me, and I look forward to continuing my journey with Him.

Through both the good times and the difficult ones, I have learned to trust Him and know that there is a purpose for everything. My experiences have helped me grow, become stronger, and appreciate the blessings God has given me. I want to be baptized because I believe in Jesus and want to continue building a stronger relationship with Him. I know that I still have more to learn and more growing to do, and I want God to continue guiding me along the way. Being baptized is my way of showing my faith and choosing to have God be a part of my life and my future.
